Good advice can always encourage me

  I really like to listen to everybody's advice when they give me a good suggestion. None of people can do prefect for the lives, me either. We need to accept other’s people advice. In my memory, i used to be a good athlete when I was young, but my parents told me it was so hard and too many exercises to do in my childhood, I cannot do anything without practice. After I grow up, i found it's too stink that i never be accepted at all. I listened to my parents to learn in the school. In the school, i learned lots of knowledge, and made lots of friends. Finally I found that was the life what i wanted. Also my parents always encourage me to try to something i liked; they wanted me to what i want, so i joined the basketball term in high school. Although i didn't like to play very hard in sports, actually i still like to play with my teammate. Even the athlete is my dream, from my parents encouraging; i still enjoy the happiness from the sports.

   My parents give me lots of advice for my life, also my friends always support me to do something i liked. I enjoy my life with all the kinds of advice, i enjoy my life without lonely, sharing all happiness with all kinds of my friends.

American food

  When it comes to American food, I want to say it's all-kinds-of food, because it combines everything together. If it has to be specific, then the first thing that pops into my mind is fast food, especially burger. I think the fast food is in fact a production of the Ametican society. With such a high speed of development, the citizens in the states don't even have time for meals sometimes, so they need fast food badly to catch up with the fast footpace of living. Also, because of the short history and the fact that the US is a multi-culture nation, all kinds of traditional food from other countries flooded here, which slows down the inprovement of the American food. 

    Just like i said, because there are too many choices for food in the states, and American food itself is not perfect,most of the time, people won't recommend burgers and fries for meals. Lately there is even a group of people who resist fast food because it's unhealthy. But actually in some way, we have to admit that it's convenient, tasty, and nowadays it's popular all over the world. The fast food has gradually become an icon of the American food, and part of American culture.
    Actually I enjoy American food, and everytime I see the long line in IN-N-OUT I believe that most of the youth enjoy it as I do. Yes, we do have like endless choices here to eat, just like when the first time I had delicious Chinese dishes here I'm so happy that I nearly wanted to cry. But in the meantime, fast food has becoming a choice, too. It's unique. It's special. It has the quality to be proud of. I think it shows the style of Americans, which is straight, free, simple, and efficient. Maybe there will be more other kinds of traditional American food that i don't know, but I believe that they all show those positive attitude towards life.

Optimistic Quote

    The quote means that the optimist always hold a positive attitude towards life, so they can figure out a way to overcome the difficulty, because they have faith in themselves. But on the contrary the pessimist don't believe in themselves, so they regard almost everything as difficulties, even as well as opportunities.

    Obviously, I agree with it. Attitude matters a lot.

    Life is about dealing with difficulties, meanwhile life is about dealing with opportunities, because they always go with each other. Being a optimist, you will seize the chances and ignore the hard part of problems. Although they may be tough to handle, you will still have chances. However, troubles have to be well considered, so that one can find the way out. Just don't let it trap you and scare you away, or you will definitely fail even if you have a great chance.

    I think I'm optimistic most of the time, because I love life. And I believe that an optimist is always brave and confident and keeps a good mood all the time. But everyone will become pessimistic now and then. So I shall remember the quote. When I meet a difficulty in the future, I will definitely choose to be optimistic

Birds of a Feather

   I happen to have my best friend as my roommate. This is such a lucky thing for a oversea student. Believe it or not, we even share the same English name Leo! But actually, we are not that alike from the first look.

    I'm a typical sport guy, but on the contrary, he is very quiet. He'd like to spend his spare time at home, doing things related to high technology. Yes, he is an total expert on electronic things with high technology. Before meeting him, i almost had no idea of those things he likes.But fortunately, we have gradually influenced each other, at least i was influenced by him. I get to know those IT things, appreciate the beauty of how they work out. When weekends come, the two Leos will stick to the couch together, playing video games or watching 3Dmovies with our house cinema.

    However, birds of a feather flock together. We live together in harmony and get on quite well, which means we must have something in common to keep us a good friendship. In fact, we do, like the habit of keeping clean, and the loitering when doing shopping. Some say 3 years creates a generation gap. Although he's 4 years elder than me, there's definitely no gap between us. And the two Leos will keep going, learning from each other, keeping company with each other.

Getting Around

They say that the USA has the best roads in the world. It's not necessarily referring to the condition of the road itself, but the traffic. Exactly! Take LA for instance. The cars on the road are like a lot, but it's not that easy to see traffic jams. Every vehicle keeps its turn and a proper high speed, which let the traffic keep going and no one waste a single minute on the road.

    I've got a car here as soon as i came to LA, because i heard that LA is really big and the public transport here is much too inconvenient. I've already have a driving license in my hometown Beijing. So it's kind of easy for me to get a license here as well. I find that there's a huge difference between the rules here and in beijing. I need to look back when i want to make a turn; I need to wait for the passengers before i go , etc. But It didn't take me a long time to get used to them, and on the contrary, i really enjoy driving here.

    If you have ever been to beijing or shanghai recently, you will understand why i'd said so. You don't even need to drive yourself, just be in a car on the road and you can feel the desperation of being a driver there. Sometimes it's like a huge parking lot, and you will be stuck in the traffic jam for definitely an hour or more. No kiding!

    So i sincerely love the road,or let's say the traffic in LA. And the traffic will be the least for me to miss about my hometown

My favourite song is <keep holding on> by Avirl lavigne. it's not only because i love the singer and her songs, but also for it can always encourage me when I'm face with difficulties and feel depressed.

People feel extremely lonely when they are helpless. But when this song is on, i can feel the power inside, reminding me to keep holding on, just like there's someone real beside me.

 That's my favourite songs that i never feel boring. I never feel lonely when the song around me. Although there are so many wonderful songs right now, no one can really attracted me besides this song

Weather

    When I first came to LA, I was so happy with the sunlight everyday. There's no doubt that a sunny day will always brings you a sunny mood. Even when I went back to my hometown Beijing, I couldn't get used to the climate there, for It's much dryer and more extreme. But after such a period of time here in LA experiencing maybe the mildest weather in the world, I'll sometimes miss the wind, the snow, even the sand storm in Beijing.

    I miss the rainy season during which I stand in front of the window, watching the flashing light flying across the sky; I miss the snowy days when I'm playing snow fight with my friends, and keep thrilling even in the heavy feather coat . I also miss the time when the sand storm comes, the whole world changes into yellow as if being covered in a cream-colored scarf.

    Those kind of weather are not that pleasant, I admit, but they are unique and exciting. Just like people love traveling around the world, the beauty is to experience different things, which involves weather.

    Good weather can mean not only enjoyable, mild, warm etc, but also changeable and challenging. Which kind would you like? At least for me, I prefer the last one.

My Fears

    No matter how brave one person is,he or she will still have something to be afraid of.This is human nature i think,so there is nothing to be ashamed of. The fear, sounds horrible, but trust me, it's not that intractability

    Just take myself as an example.You guys all know that I'm already 190cm tall, and to be honest I'm really proud of it.But guess what my fear is-------acrophobia,which means I'm afraid of being in somewhere high.

    Sounds ridiculous,huh?But I really do.I'll feel dizzy and out of strength being somewhere high even when I close my eyes,let alone looking downward.I've been hoping to overcome the acrophobia for a long time,because many of the great view can only been seen from a high place. However, as always, it takes a long time and many efforts to deal with the fears.

    Until one day,even without being conscious of, I made it......

    It's on a long long elevator that from 1-7 floors in a shopping mall. I always use it to go straight to my favourite restaurant in the sixth floor. At first I can only stand rigid and hold armrest tightly to stand the height. But that day, when I start to realize the height，I was just looking downwards to see the man-made landscape. God, It's real, I'm not afraid any more!

    So see, the fear is hard to deal with sometime, but maybe one day, you'll be like me,too, taking it over magically!
